UMO to Hold Campus Revival
MOUNT OLIVE- “When Ordinary Becomes Extraordinary,” is the theme for the University of Mount Olive campus revival starting Sunday night November 3, for three nights. The event is scheduled for 7 PM on November 3rd, 4th, and 5th in Kornegay Arena. The event is FREE and the public is invited to attend.
“As a comprehensive Christian University, it is our hope that this revival will ignite a flame of spiritual growth within all who attend,” said UMO President Dr. David Poole.
Sunday night’s service will feature Illusionist Zax Mirzadeh. Mirazdeh is a former Muslim, who gave his heart to Jesus. Special music will be provided by Carolina Sound, UMOs 12 member acapella group with members from Louisiana, Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, and Kentucky. Husband and wife duo Lester and Holly Rector, from Walt Disney World’s Voices of Liberty, will direct the group.
Author Larry Reese will be the guest speaker for Monday evening’s revival service. Reese is the founder of RC3 Discipleship School and author of “Being Intimate with God.” Dance For Christ, an Urban Troupe from Goldsboro, will minster through song and dance.
Closing out the three-day event, Tuesday night’s service will be led by UMO Campus Ministry Director Lester Rector, with the added talents from several UMO students.
“We are so excited to have three incredible three nights of ministry, music, and spiritual connection with God,” said Rector. “It is our hope that in addition to our own students, that this revival will be a catalyst for spiritual growth and renewal for our community as well.”
