MOUNT OLIVE –On Tuesday, March 23, the University of Mount Olive community will come together for Giving Day.
“Giving Day is a 24 hour giving challenge to encourage engagement and philanthropy of all members of the UMO community,” said Vice President for University Advancement Jason Gipe.
Through social challenges and good old-fashioned rivalry, participants will have the chance to support their favorite UMO passion, which could be academics, athletics, music, or any other area.
“Community support means everything,” said Peyton Moore Jones, Assistant Director of Annual Giving. “Gifts of all sizes help pave the way for our current and future students and ensures that they have the tools and resources necessary to achieve their goals.”
To support this 100% virtual initiative, participants are invited to follow the giving day action on Facebook, Instagram, and twitter by following #GiveUMO.
“Remember ANY GIFT, no matter the size, can make a difference,” Jones said. “You can help by participating and sharing social media posts, encouraging others to give, and making your gift!”
