
Event Planned to Help Area Youth Learn How to Save for College
MOUNT OLIVE- The University of Mount Olive (UMO) Financial Aid and Student Accounts offices will join the Mount Olive Friends of the Park for a “Saving for College” event on Saturday, April 6 from 11 AM-1 PM at Westbrook Park in Mount Olive.
The purpose of the event, which is part of UMO’s Gifts and Talents community service initiative, is to provide information to area youth on saving for college. Activities will include face painting, pictures with costume characters, and a raffle. Children will receive a free mini piggy bank while supplies last. Hot dogs and drinks will be available for purchase. Proceeds will go to the Friends of the Park.
