UMO to Hold Event on Human Trafficking Awareness

MOUNT OLIVE- The University of Mount Olive (UMO) will hold a conference on human trafficking, titled “For Freedom,” on March 26 at 7 PM in Rodgers Chapel.

“For Freedom” is an evening of exposure to the reality of human trafficking, both globally and locally, and what each of us can do to be a part of fighting it.

Speakers will include John Roberts, Erin Blondel, and Luke Hinson. Roberts is an investigator for trafficking operations in Cambodia with International Justice Mission. As Assistant United States Attorney, Blondel represents the government in human trafficking cases in NC. Hinson is the regional student coordinator with International Justice Mission based in NC.

The event is free and open to the public
