MOC Concert Band to Perform Spring Concert

MOUNT OLIVE – The University of Mount Olive Concert Band will present its annual spring concert at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8 in Southern Bank Auditorium.

The theme of the concert will be “The Music of our Lives” and will consist of several genres of music including symphonic band works, Broadway numbers, and folk songs. Several songs will be performed in honor of our military men and women.

“We are growing a concert band here at University of Mount Olive and currently have ten very faithful students that practice with me three days a week,” said Dr. Alan Armstrong, director of the group and chair of the music department. “Also, some outstanding performers from all over eastern North Carolina will join us for this exciting Concert Band Performance.”

The performance is free and the public is invited to attend.  Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information about the concert, contact Dr. Armstrong at 919-658-2502.
