Moore County Student Receives Award at University of Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE- Brittany Thurlow of Whispering Pines has received the Edwin Sutherland Award at University of Mount Olive.  Thurlow, a senior criminal justice and criminology major, is the daughter of Eric and Michelle Cuilla.  She is on the women’s soccer Student Athlete Advisory Committee and a member of Delta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma.
The Edwin Sutherland Award is named after a leading figure in criminal justice theory and research. The award is given to the criminal justice student who best exhibits excellence in academics. The recipient is selected by the criminal justice student awards committee.
