Suffolk, Virginia Student Receives Awards at University of Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE- Kathern DeVenuto of Suffolk, Virginia received the Outstanding Recreation and Leisure Studies Student of the Year Award at University of Mount Olive’s Annual Awards Ceremony. DeVenuto, a senior recreation and leisure studies exercise major, is the daughter of Lydia DeVenuto.
The Outstanding Recreation/Leisure Studies Major award is given by the RLS Alumni Scholarship fund to a senior who has demonstrated outstanding scholarship and service/leadership capabilities.  The recipient must have completed at least 92 semester hours (30 of which must be from MOC), and 48 semester hours of RLS course work at University of Mount Olive.
University of Mount Olive is a private institution rooted in the liberal arts tradition with defining Christian values.
