UMO Honors Students Visit the Wayne County History Museum
Members of the University of Mount Olive (UMO) Honors Program, along with Program Director Dr. Brenda Cates and Assistant Director Dr. Alan Lamm, recently participated in a “Night at the Museum” event at the Wayne County History Museum in Goldsboro, NC. The museum’s Assistant Director Anna Mitchell is a former UMO Honors student and history major. She gave the students a tour of the museum, which included the current exhibit “Hearts & Hands: A Local History of African American Community Service.” Following the tour, the students enjoyed pizza together in the section of the museum that was formerly a USO ballroom.
