UMO Symphonic Band Concert to Perform with High School Honor Students
MOUNT OLIVE – The University of Mount Olive (UMO) will hold its fifth annual Honor Band and Wind Ensemble concert on Thursday, April 12, at 7:30 PM in the Hazel Waters Kornegay Assembly Hall located at 207 Wooten Street in Mount Olive.
See and hear what happens when talented music majors, high school students, and community members come together and perform with one thing in common – their passion for making music. Selections performed will include the foot stomping “Quad City Stomp,” and “Theme from Green Bushes,” a lively Irish tune. Following the Honor Band performance, the UMO Wind Ensemble will perform a diverse selection of music that will conclude with highlights from ABBA’s “MAMA MIA!”
