UMO Theatre Presents Scroogical – Ebenezer’s Musical Rhyme and Reason

MOUNT OLIVE- The University of Mount Olive (UMO) Theatre will present another original take on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Performances will be on Saturday, December 8, at 7:30 PM and Sunday, December 9, at 3 PM in Rodgers Chapel.

Playwright and co-director John Clifton continues the tradition of developing his zany version of this timeless classic. Old Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by new ghosts and new takes on old adventures. We even catch a glimpse of the backstory of his dear sister, Fan. This year will feature several songs.

Co-director Dr. Tyanna Yonkers said, “This year’s production captures moments from crazy hilarity to poignant tenderness with a diversity of cast reflective of our UMO student body

Come join us for more twists and turns as Scrooge travels through time on a musical note or two.”

For more information, contact John Clifton at (919) 440-6449 or at john.clifton@umo.edu.  Admission is FREE and the public is invited to attend.
