A Welcome Home Celebration
The Trojan Men’s Basketball Team received a police escort onto campus and the players and coaches and staff were greeted at Scarborough Field by a contingent of fans. Team members lined up on the field as they were introduced one by one. Head coach Joey Higginbotham addressed the crowd before throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.
“I’m numb right now, but I want to thank all of you for your tremendous support. I’ve been at Mount Olive since 1996 as a freshman on the basketball team and this year has been the greatest support from the campus and the community, and we thank you!”
